Getting Around Byron Bay
There is so much to see and do in and around Byron. Try something out of the ordinary, find that quaint hide away spot or go for the thrills. Either way stop in at the visitor centre for local secrets and the best places to go.
Byron Bay Brewery
Do you know the tale of this place? It started out as a piggery in 1898 owned by NORCO. In 1984 it was purchased by a music promoter and hosted some famous bands like The Pogues, Violent Femmes, Crowned House and Paul Kelly. It was also the original site for the East Coast Blues & Roots festival. Quite apt really, because we’re going to rock this joint all night long on Saturday night 14th September and turn the place from what is known locally as the PIGGERY to 'The HOGGERY'
We will have a great band on Saturday night in the auditorium, there will be entertainment in the courtyard garden and a restaurant, so you don't go hungry.
Park up the bike and head on over to the Byron Bay Brewery and dig in to beers & burgers.
A Band will carry the night through until late. Catch up with old friends and make some new ones.
A courtesy bus will be operating on Saturday night throughout Byron township, to and from the venue.
Byron Beach Hotel
When anyone visits Byron, they want to visit the Stropp & Hoges’ Beach Hotel. It has changed hands some years ago but it is an institution in Byron Bay. We have told the Beach Hotel to expect Hoggies on Friday night for a few frothy’s and a feed. This will be at your own pace as we understand not everyone can get there for Friday but that’s where we’ll be. Entertainment will be provided and as it's Black Friday, wear black.
